CAUTION: when the pump stops the pipes are still under pressure; therefore, before any
intervention, it is advisable to discharge the system by opening a tap.
CAUTION: this device is not to be considered a mechanical pressure reducer and therefore all
system parts must be sized according to the maximum supply pressure of the pump.
CAUTION: the pump only shuts down in the following cases:
- following interruption of the flow by a mechanical float
- when the external float opens an electric contact
- when the water on pump intake runs out
It is absolutely necessary to take suitable precautions (for example envisaging overflow drains) so
that in the event of device malfunctions there is no risk of flooding the area due to failure of the
pump to shut down.
EXAMPLE OF INSTALLATION WITH
ELECTRIC FLOAT:
At the set time, and only if the contact of the
electric float is closed (tank empty), the electric
pump is started up at regular intervals (settable by
the user in the menu) to verify the presence of
water.
When water is available on intake, the pumping
cycle continues until the tank is full (electric float
contact open).
If the flow is interrupted due to a lack of water, the
pump is stopped to protect it against dry running.
EXAMPLE OF INSTALLATION WITH
MECHANICAL FLOAT:
At the programmed time, the electric pump is started
up at regular intervals (settable by the user in the
menu) to verify the presence of water.
When water is available on intake, the pumping
cycle continues until the tank is full (float closed).
If the flow is interrupted due to a lack of water, the
pump is stopped to protect it against dry running.
