the opposite side. In the same
way, dry it using a dry cloth;
- machine body: clean the
machine body with a damp
cloth or a sponge, rinsing
with water. Dry carefully.
WARNING! Blade is

sharp, cutting hazard!
Always return the table to
its initial position so that
the protection (7) is as close
to possible as the gauge
plate (Fig. H).
Finally, assemble the:
- blade cover:
1) replace the blade cover
as in the figure; 2) rotate
the blade cover 90° clock-
wise until it locks into its
initial position (Fig. F);
- product holder:
insert the threaded pin and
screw it in position using
the product holder knob
(14) (Fig. G).
MAINTENANCE
Blade maintenance
Cleanse the blade regu-
larly to keep it sharp and
functional. Do not wash the
blade in the dishwasher.
Blade extraction
Occasionally extract the
blade by unscrewing it and
clean the inside. Handle the
blade with great care and
always use the provided ex-
tractor (Fig. I).

- Remove the blade cov-
er from the machine and
insert the blade extractor,
tightening the two knobs in
the corresponding thread-
ed holes on the blade. Us-
ing a normal screwdriver,
remove the three screws
securing the blade;
- perform the procedure in re-
verse order to insert the blade.
SERVICE
No user-serviceable parts
are inside. Refer servicing to
qualified personnel. All the
repair and replacement op-
erations (like blade replace-
ment, replacement of the
motor belt, replacement of
the sub-basaplate electrical
system components, repair
of structural parts, repair
and/or
re-placement
sub-baseplate components,
or similar) shall be execut-
ed exclusively by personnel
authorized by the manufac-
turer.
In the event service is need-
ed, please contact Van
Berkel USA, Inc. where the
cost of repair or electrical
or mechanical adjustment
can be estimated before the
repair is undertaken. You
may also return your food
slicer to Van Berkel USA,
Inc. for servicing. Please in-
clude your return address
and a brief description of the
problem or damage to the
slicer on a separate sheet in-
side the box.
