F Unscrew the inspection plugs
of standard batteries before
battery charging.
F Charge batteries only in
well-ventilated rooms

After ventilation:
Switch off the unit.
Have the battery checked by
an after-sales service center
for Bosch products.
Set the control knob (2) to the left-
hand limit position (minimum char-
ging current) and read off the char-
ging current on the ammeter (5)
before every charging operation.
The charger must be switched off
and checked by the Bosch after-
sales service if the current is greater
than 5 A.
The recommended charging capa-
city is 300 Ah.

Normal charging
In order to avoid excessive gas for-
mation, charging should take place
at ambient temperatures above
approx. 30 °C and, in the case of
older batteries, only in the switch
position for
maintenance-free
batteries.
F Nevertheless if charging is
carried out in the position for
standard batteries
all circumstances charging
must cease when the battery
is fully charged.
1. Set the voltage selector switch
(9) to "0" (OFF).
2. Securely connect the charging
clips to the battery, ensuring that
the polarity is correct:
– red clip to positive terminal
– black clip to negative terminal
3. Set the selector switch (1) to the
correct battery type:
