Not use Gasoline, Crankcase Oil or any Oil
containing Gasoline!

around the unit.

These instructions are intended to be used
by qualified personnel who have been
trained in installing this type of furnace.
Installation of this furnace by an unqualified
person may lead to equipment damage
and/or hazardous condition, which may lead
to bodily harm.

GENERAL
This furnace is a true multipositions unit, in that it may
be operated in all four positions when it use with
chimney, i.e., upflow, counterflow (downflow), and
horizontal (both left-to-right and right-to-left airflow).
Very few modifications are required to change the
furnace from one position to another at the job site.
The furnace is shipped in the upflow configuration-

It is shipped as a packaged unit, complete with burner
and controls.
connection to the control box, a thermostat hook-up as
shown on the wiring diagram, oil line connection (s),
adequate ductwork, and connection to a properly sized
vent.
IMPORTANT: For sealed combustion system (SCS)
refer to the SCS-4 instruction manual. The appliance
must be installed in upflow position when used with a
SCS
IMPORTANT:
requirements governing the installation of oil burning
equipment, wiring and flue connections must be
followed. Some of the codes that may be applicable
are:

The air handling capacity of this furnace is designed
for cooling airflow. Refer to table # 4 for the expected
airflow at various externals duct static pressures.
