• Esta cafetera está destinada a ser utilizada exclusivamente solo
con agua y café molido para Moka de uso doméstico: no utilice
otros productos (ej., cebada, cacao, extractos del café, té, CAFÉ
PARA PERCOLADORES O PARA MÁQUINAS DE CAFÉ EXPRESO...);
Cerciórese de que el chorro de vapor esté orientado lejos del usua-
rio.
• El aparato ha sido diseñado para uso interno, no dejar el aparato
expuesto a agentes atmosféricos (lluvia, sol, etc.).

Luego de haber quitado el embalaje y antes de cada uso corroborar
la integridad mecánica del aparato y de todos sus accesorios. La
vaina y el enchufe del cable de alimentación no tienen que pre-
sentar fi suras o roturas. Si se verifi can los casos anteriormente
mencionados, desconectar inmediatamente el enchufe de la toma

6. Cleaning and maintenance

• Before carrying out cleaning and maintenance, wait for the appli-
ance to cool completely.
• It is recommended to clean the coff ee maker on a regular basis.
• Never put the product in the dishwasher.
• Do not submerge the bottom of the coff ee maker into water or
other liquids.
• After each use, wash with warm water without detergents and/or
abrasive materials (the product CANNOT be put in the dishwash-
er).
• Store the product perfectly dry in all its parts and not closed.
• Always unplug the appliance before cleaning it.
• Regularly perform the decalcifi cation procedure:
1. Fill the heater with water up to the level.
2. Add two teaspoons of citric acid or vinegar.
3. Reassemble the product and, without adding the coff ee pow-
der, dispense once.
4. Throw away the solution obtained.
5. Wash the coff ee maker with current water and make coff ee.
• Regularly check that the holes of the fi lter plate are not obstruct-
ed, otherwise open them using a brush with delicate bristles or a
needle.
• Periodically check the internal components and, in case of wear-
ing or damage, replace them only with original Bialetti spare parts
suitable for the model used.
• Replace the gasket, if worn. It is recommended to replace it at
least once a year anyway.
