5.1.1

Precautions for the use

Rinse the tool by means of a clean and dry cloth. Do not use any petrol or solvents.
To rinse the tool, do not use abrasive degreasers or products containing solvents.
For a proper tool operation follow the instructions. In case of damage do not use the tool, the battery (13) and its
charger (16).
Do not use the tool when it does not work properly.
Always remove the battery (13) before any operation of adjustment or parts replacement or before storing it at the end
of the work session. This allows to reduce the residual risks due to an involuntary tool activation.
The tool must be operated following the instructions and the way of use indicated in this manual, taking into consider-
ation the environment and the kind of work to carry out. It is recommended not to use the tool in case of poor psycho-
physical skills or in situations which are different from the indicated ones, as it could be very dangerous.
5.2

Use of the hooks

The hooks supplied allow to catch the branch from which the berries will fall.
To carry out the harvesting operation, enter the plant with the hook and carefully place the hooks on the branch to shake.
Tension the branch by pulling or pushing it softly, then press the trigger (5).
If the pre-set shaking frequency and the hooks position on the branch are the right ones to make the berries fall down,
release the trigger (5) and repeat the operation on another branch.
If only a small quantity of berries or also unripe ones fall down, the pre-set speed and the hooks position are wrong.
-
Excessive speed can make also unripe berries fall down, while scarce speed does not make any berry detach
from the branch.
-
To place the hooks very close to the berries could damage these fruits.
-
To place the hooks on the branch too far from the berries does not make them detach from the branch.
5.3

Stopping and storing the tool

Switch the tool off and remove the battery (13).
Recharge the batteries (13) before putting them into the carrying case.
Clean the tool and put it into its case with its components.
Store the tool in a dry place.
For long periods of inactivity recharge the batteries (13) not later than every 3 months.
