5.4.2

Normal UPS Mode

This is the normal operating mode for the UPS. Power will be supplied from the AC input line to the
output. Additionally, if the battery is not at full charge, it will charge from the AC input.(i.e. the Static
Bypass Switch (SBS) is closed and the unit will transition to UPS Mode if AC power is lost.)
5.4.3

UPS Mode

This mode is active if the unit has been running in normal mode and the input power transitions
outside of the expected operating range. Power will be supplied by the battery to the output.
5.4.4

Fault Mode

If there is an internal component failure, the AC6000 will enter Fault Mode, and an indication of what
the fault is and a fault code will be displayed on the front panel display. When in fault mode, the
battery and power from the input AC may be disconnected. Configuring the unit to have "Enable
Bypass On Fault" (Web interface only) will allow AC from the input to be provided to the output if the
fault will not result in a dangerous condition.
5.4.5

Discharging Mode

This mode is manually activated by the user to allow the UPS to discharge to 40% SOC (state of
charge) and transition directly to Shutdown Mode to allow the user to power down the unit. The greater
the load connected to the UPS, the faster this discharging will occur.
5.4.6

Shutdown Mode

This mode is reached when discharging has reached the threshold of 40% SOC (state of charge) or
lower, and causes the output to be disabled. The front panel will display text to the user to switch the
input breaker to the OFF position to power down the UPS.
5.4.7

Bringing the AC6000 Online

If the unit is in a Low-level fault, or if a fault has self cleared, any button press will clear the fault
indication.
