Sunscreen lotions should have a sufficient SPF and be effective in
UV-A and UV-B range.
An SPF of at least 15 is recommended for especially sensitive per-
sons and children.
Children up to the age of two should not be exposed to
direct sunlight at all.

The European solar protection factor uses the light skin of a northern
European as basis, meaning the time in which such a person can stay
in the sun without getting skin damage. This is approx. 20 minutes
with untanned skin.
If you use an SPF of 8, you can stay 8 x 20 minutes in the sun (160
minutes) without risking a sunburn.
You must observe certain guidelines to achieve the desired solar pro-
tection: Please note that the protection provided by the sunscreen
wears off after one to two hours.
