• Never lift or carry the machine with the motor run-
ning.
• The motor should be switched off:
– whenever you leave the machine unattended
– before you refill it
Raynaud's disease
Frequent use of vibrating tools can cause nerve
damage in people with bad circulation (for example,
smokers and diabetics). Fingers, hands, wrists and/or
arms, in particular, may show the following symp-
toms, but not necessarily all of them: pain, tickling,
twinges, numbness of body parts, whitening of the
skin.
• If you notice any unusual adverse effects, stop
working immediately and consult a doctor.
You can reduce the risks considerably by following
the tips below:
• When it is cold, make sure your body and your
hands, in particular, are kept warm. Working with
cold hands is the main cause of injuries!
• Take regular breaks and move your hands at the
same time. This will promote circulation.

Installing the product
DANGER! Risk to life! The electrical con-
nection may only be carried out by an
appropriately qualified professional.
Before installation, switch off the power to
the electrical network (switch off at the
main switch/fuse box).
DANGER! Danger of fire! The specified
minimum distance to radiated surfaces or
materials must be maintained. See the
section on "Technical data" for the mini-
mum distance.

– Insert the control handle (3) and handle (1) into
the holes in the connecting element (5). Make
sure that the control handle (3) is on the same
side as the cable holder of the connecting ele-
ment (5).
– Secure the entire unit with the fixture screws (9)
to the frame (6).
– Secure the frame (6) with the fixture screws (9) to
the device frame (11).
– Fit the cable clips (a)

– Undo the screws (14) on both sides and remove.
– Remove the additional hoe tool.

– Fit the additional hoe tool.
Slide the screw (14) through the drilled holes and
the drive shaft on both sides.
– Secure with the nut (15).

Operation

DANGER! Risk of injury! The device may
only be put into operation if there are no
defects or faults to be found. If a part is
defective, it must be replaced before the
device is used again.
DANGER! Risk of injury! Before starting
work, check the area and remove all
objects which may be kicked up by the
device.
Check the safety equipment and make sure the
device is safe for operation:
– Check to make sure all parts are secure.
– Check to see if there are any visible defects: bro-
ken parts cracks, etc.
