6- Operation 1. Keep limbs, fingers, clothing and hair clear of capstan. 2. Use footswitch to operate the capstan. 3. Do not overload capstan. Avoid stalling capstan. 4. Secure rope to independent strong point, e.g. cleat, to prevent release. WARNING! 5. When not in use, you must isolate the capstan electrically at the circuit breaker/isolator.
