Nylon Cutting Line
Check the length of the nylon cutting line by
pulling the line to the inner edge of the guard.
If the line is very short, i.e. more than 2 inches
(50 mm) away from the edge of the guard,
push down on the centre of the cutting head
and at the same time, pull the line outward
(see Fig. K). When the trimmer starts, the line
will be cut to the correct length automatically.
Note: Disconnect the battery from the unit
before making adjustments to the trimmer
line.
"Bump Feed" the Trimmer Line
When you need to increase the line length
during use, you can simply "bump feed" the
trimmer line to restore the line to the correct
length. To "bump feed" the trimmer, turn on the
trimmer and gently bump the top surface of
the cutting head on a firm surface. The line will
be automatically extended and be cut to the
correct length (see Fig. L).

1. Switching Trimmer «ON» (see Fig. M)
a) The trimmer is fitted with a safety lock-off

button (5). To start the trimmer, press the lock-
off button then depress the safety switch on
the auxiliary handle (12) and then depress the
ON/OFF trigger switch (3) in order to start the
trimmer.
To switch the trimmer OFF, release either the
safety switch or the trigger switch.
Allow 5 seconds or more for the grass trimmer
to stop rotating after releasing the ON/OFF
switch.
DO NOT invert the grass trimmer or place
hands under the guard until the grass trimmer
has come to a complete stop and the battery
has been removed.
