Operating Instructions and Parts Manual
Mounting (Continued)
Affix the lower mounting bracket to the wall using 2 of the lag screws that were
included in the box. Use the 1/2 inch wrench or 1/2 inch socket and ratchet or 1/2 inch
nut driver to tighten the lag screws. Recheck the lower mounting bracket with the level
to ensure it is installed level
StEP 2 - Securing the Upper Mounting Bracket to the Wall
Use the level to determine the center of the stud above the lower mounting bracket.
Use the tape measure to measure up 12-3/4 inches along the center of the stud from
the top center of the lower mounting bracket. Use the pencil to place a horizontal mark
on the wall at the center of the stud at 12-3/4 inches. Place the bottom of the upper
mounting bracket on the mark and use the level to ensure the bracket is level and
centered in the stud with the lower mounting bracket.
Mark the two holes onto the wall with the pencil. These marks will be used as a guide
to drill the holes for the lag screws. Use the drill and 1/4 inch drill bit to drill the two
holes for the lag screws on the marks that were just made. These holes should be drilled
approximately 2 inches deep. Affix the upper mounting bracket to the wall using 2
of the lag screws that were included in the box. Use the 1/2 inch wrench or 1/2 inch
socket and ratchet or 1/2 inch nut driver to tighten the lag screws. Recheck the upper
mounting bracket with the level to ensure it is installed level and inline with the lower
mounting bracket.
StEP 3 - Installing the Vibration Isolators
Locate the lower tank bracket on the air compressor. Slide four vibration isolators onto
the lower tank bracket as shown in Figure 9 (A). Locate the upper tank bracket on the
air compressor. Slide two vibration isolators onto the upper tank bracket as shown in
Figure 9 (B). Locate the mounting bracket cap. Slide two vibration isolators onto the
mounting bracket cap as shown in Figure 9 (C).
StEP 4 - Lifting the Air Compressor onto the Brackets on the Wall
IT IS HIgHLY RECOMMENDED THAT TWO PEOPLE WORk TOgETHER
TO LIFT THE AIR COMPRESSOR ONTO THE BRACkETS ON THE WALL.
Remove the drain cup from the Easy Drain System.
Lift the wall mount compressor above the wall mount brackets as shown in Figure 10.
Then set the unit straight down onto the brackets. If this is not performed properly the
vibration isolators may not clear the brackets resulting in them becoming dislodged as
shown in Figure 10. If the vibration isolators do become dislodged they will need to be
replaced before installation can continue.
Once the unit is sitting firmly on the wall brackets slide the mounting bracket cap down
over the top of the upper mounting bracket and the upper tank bracket as shown in
Figure 8. Be certain the mounting bracket cap clamps the upper tank bracket securely
to the upper mounting bracket before you let go of the wall mount compressor or the
compressor may fall causing damage or injury.
Replace the drain cup onto the Easy Drain System.
InstructIons For a Masonry WaLL
You will need to purchase the mounting hardware required for concrete or masonry
installations separately. It is recommended that you use a 5/16 inch diameter
by 2-1/2 inch long sleeve style anchor or an anchor system that is 5/16 inches in
diameter. Follow the instructions provided with the hardware to determine the proper
installation of those fasteners. Use the instructions for mounting to a stud wall as a
guide for anchor placement.
