Safety Notes

• This locomotive is to be used with the operating system
designed for it.
• Use only switched mode power supply units and transfor-
mers that are designed for your local power system.
• This model may only be supplied with power from a
suitable power generation source.
• Pay close attention to the safety notes in the instructions
for your operating system.
• Not for children under the age of 15.
• WARNING! Sharp edges and points required for operation.

General Notes

• The operating instructions are a component part of the
product and must therefore be kept in a safe place as
well as included with the product, if the latter is given to
someone else.
• Please see your authorized LGB dealer for repairs or
spare parts.

Functions

• This model is designed for operation on LGB two-rail DC
systems with conventional LGB DC train controllers or
power packs (DC, 0 - 24 volts).
• Use a locomotive controller with more than 1 amp of train
current for this model.

Safety gates: Safety gates are included and can be installed
on either side of the streetcar. The gates slide into the
panels surrounding the steps (Fig. 5).
Indicator lights: Nonfunctional indicator lights are included
and can be installed with adhesive on the sides of the cars.
The positions for the lights are indicated by ridges on each
corner of the passenger compartment (Fig. 6).
Mode of Operation Switch
This model can be operated with track power or with power
from an LGB catenary system. There is a power control
switch located inside the streetcar (Fig. 1). To access the
switch, reach through the open side window. The switch
controls the following functions (Fig. 2):

Track power to motors and front lights only
Pos. 2
Track power to motors and front and rear lights
(including red taillight)(only forward)
Pos. 3
Catenary power to motors and front and rear lights
(including red taillight)
Catenary Power Operation
This locomotive can be operated with a powered catenary
system. The bottom of this model is marked with a red dot.
Place the model on the track with the red dot pointing to
the rail that is not connected to the catenary power supply
(Fig. 4).
CAUTION! This model may be powered with a catenary on
analog layouts only. For operation with the digital Multi-
Train System, the model must use track power. Otherwise,
dangerously high voltages may result.
