CLEA NING AND CA R E
Clean the cool milk jug with the lid, the measuring cap and frothing disc after
every use.
1. Pull the power plug from the socket before starting cleaning.
2. As both the jug and the frothing disc are very hot after use, you should let both
parts cool down first.
3. Remove the cool jug with the lid and the frothing disc from the motor base and
take off the lid, the measuring cap and the frothing disc.
4. Clean the jug with the lid and the measuring cap as well as the frothing disc in
warm water with a bit of mild dishwashing liquid and a soft sponge or rag. Then,
rinse again and dry carefully. You can clean the jug, the lid and the measuring
cap in the upper drawer of the dishwasher. The frothing discs are dishwasher
safe, too, they might however fall through the grids due to their small size.
As a precaution, they should be placed in the small cutlery basket. Note: Clean-
ing the frothing discs by hand increases their lifespan.
5. Also clean the outer jug bottom with the opening carefully and make sure that
there is no milk residue or soiling in the opening. This could impair or impede
the milk frothing process.

6. Wipe the heating chamber on the motor base as well as the motor base itself
with a slightly moist towel to remove potential milk residue. Never submerge the
motor base with the power plug and power cord in water or another liquid or
hold it under running water.

Note:
Always make sure that there is no milk residue or soiling on the sensors (a) in the
heating chamber.
7. Store the second frothing disc in the storage device in the rear part of the motor
base. Place one of the frothing discs back in the jug. Like this, they are always
at hand. Always keep the appliance with the frothing discs out of the reach of
children. The frothing discs could be swallowed – danger of suffocation!
Notes:
– Never use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents or detergents or any hard resp.
scratching or pointed objects to clean parts of the appliance. These might dam-
age resp. scratch the surface.
– Never submerge the motor base in water or other liquids and generally keep the
motor base away from water and liquids.
– When cleaning the jug and the lid with the measuring cap in the dishwasher,
everything should be placed in the upper drawer of the dishwasher.
