5. Place the jug back on the motor base, the outer bottom of the jug as well as the
opening in the bottom must be dry and clean.
6. Turn the START/STOP rotary knob to the desired temperature. If you want to froth
resp. stir milk for a cappuccino or a caffè latte, we recommend a temperature
setting in the OPTIMUM MILK TEMP range. Of course, different temperature
settings fitting personal tastes are also possible.
Should you change the temperature setting during use, the appliance heats the
jug contents to the newly set temperature.
7. Push the START/STOP button inwards, the button surround flashes and the
frothing process starts.
Note:
Never remove the jug from the motor base while the appliance is in use. If you want
to stop the operation ahead of time, you can simply press the START/STOP button
again.
8. Once the milk has reached the set temperature, the appliance stops automati-
cally and a twofold signal is sounded. Heating up usually takes between 2 and
7 minutes, depending on the amount of milk and the temperature setting. Wait
for the built-in ventilator to stop and pull the power plug. Carefully take the jug
out of the motor base by the handle and keep in mind that the jug as well as the
milk can be very hot. Do not place the hot jug on a heat sensitive surface, e.g.
on plastic or on a tablecloth, as it might melt or be scorched.
9. Remove the lid and carefully pour the frothed milk into the cup.
10. Clean the jug with the lid and the measuring cap as well as the frothing discs
after every use. The jug with the frothing disc should be cooled down completely
before you disassemble it.

Caution:
– The jug is very hot during and after use! Therefore, never place the hot jug on a
heat sensitive surface!
– Never place the hot jug on the power cord.

If you want to add ingredients to the milk, the frothing process always has to be
running for a few seconds already. You can measure the solid or liquid ingredi-
ents off with the measuring cap and gradually pour them into the milk through
the lid opening. If you have set the temperature to a range between WARM and
HOT, you should wait for a while before adding the ingredients so that the milk
can warm up and the ingredients can dissolve more quickly.
Always add the ingredients to the jug slowly and in small amounts. If you add
the ingredients too quickly, the frothing disc could detach from the seating pin
or prematurely stop the frothing process.
The result of frothing depends on the added ingredients. If you add e.g. solid
ingredients like syrup, thick powder or large flakes, the froth will not be as creamy
and fluffy.
Notes:
– The milk frother is not suitable for mixing dry ingredients like ground nuts, whole
spices or fresh herbs or for melting large pieces like chocolate cubes. The jug must
always be filled up to the MIN marking at least with liquid (milk).
– The milk frother is designed for frothing and stirring milk, it can not whip cream,
prepare dessert sauces or stir soups, eggnog or sauces.
