Names and Functions of Parts
1 HD button
Press this to select the high definition video output
signal.
2 D1 button
Press this to select the D1 video output signal.
3 D2 button
Press this to select the D2 video output signal.
4 IMAGE ENHANCER button
Press this to carry out image enhancer adjustments.
When the HKPF-525 HD-NTSC Down-Converter
Board is connected
Only the D2 and IMAGE ENHANCER buttons
operate.
When the HKPF-1125 525-HD Up-Converter
Board is connected
Only the HD and IMAGE ENHANCER buttons
operate.
When the HKPF-9000 Multi-Format Converter
Board is installed
The operable buttons will change according to the
signal conversion mode as follows:
When HD b HD conversion is selected: The HD
button can be operated.
When HD b SD conversion is selected: The D1 and
IMAGE ENHANCER buttons can be operated.
When SD b HD conversion is selected: The HD
and IMAGE ENHANCER buttons can be
operated.
Memory section
In the memory section you can save and recall up to 99
sets of settings in the internal memory.

1 MEMORY ADDR. (address) indicator
This shows a memory address in the range 01 to 99.
When DIP switch S100-2 on the internal board
is set to the ON position
The MEMORY ADDR. indicator displays the current
values and settings for each adjustment knob. When
the STORE or LOAD button is pressed, the memory
address is displayed. When loading or storing is
completed, the current values and settings are
displayed again.
2 STORE button
Press this button to store the current adjustment setting
values. Use the –/+ buttons to display the address in
the MEMORY ADDR. indicator, then press the
STORE button once more to carry out the saving
operation.
3 LOAD button
Press this button to recall current adjustment setting
values. Use the –/+ buttons to display the recall
address in the MEMORY ADDR. indicator, then press
the LOAD button once more to carry out the recall
operation.
4 CANCEL button
After pressing the STORE button or LOAD button,
press this button to cancel the operation.
5 –/+ buttons
During a save or recall operation, use these to set the
address shown in the MEMORY ADDR. indicator.
Press the + button to increase the address, and the –
button to decrease the address.
6 INPUT/OUTPUT buttons
When the HKPF-9000 is connected, one or both of
these buttons will flash to indicate that an error has
occurred within the HKPF-9000. If you press the
respective flashing button or buttons, the contents of
the INPUT FORMAT indicator on the HKPF-9000
will also appear in the MEMORY ADDR. indicator on
the HKDV-900. Flashing buttons have the following
meanings:
Flashing INPUT button: The signal input to the
HKPF-9000 may be abnormal. There may be no
input signal or the input signal format does not
conform with that specified on the HKDV-900.
Flashing INPUT and OUTPUT buttons: The
combination of input and output signals does not
conform with that specified on the HKDV-900.
