21) When your unit reaches the end of its life, we
recommend that you contact your dental equipment
dealer or, failing this, one of the ACTEON sites
(listed at the end of this manual) to find out what
procedure is advised.
2 – PRESENTATION
The Mini L.E.D. AutoFocus emits visible blue light at
wavelengths between 420 and 480nm for photo-
polymerization of dental materials. After checking the
packaging (please keep it) for damage, open the box,
which should contain the following items:
- the handpiece, fitted with a protective cap,
incorporating the light-emitting diode and the back-lit
LCD screen (3),
- the base station for recharging the unit, with a built-
in radiometer,
- the power adapter,
- the lithium ion battery (7),
- the sterilizable light guide (1),
the flexible filter shield,
- the Operating Manual and other documents.
3 – INSTALLATION
1) Before use, sterilize the light guide and disinfect the
base station and the unit (refer to the Maintenance
section).
2) Screw the battery onto the handpiece and insert the
sterilized light guide into the unit. Make sure that the
light guide is inserted correctly (confirmation by an
audible click).
3) Place the base station on a stable surface. Check that
the voltage marked on the power adapter is the same
as your power supply voltage, then plug in the
adapter. The translucent holder flashes three times
(red, green, blue) and emits a beep at power-on.
4) Place the curing light on its rest. Two beeps confirm
that it is positioned correctly. A complete battery
charging cycle lasts 3 hours.
5) The translucent holder lights up in blue and starts
flashing, indicating that the battery is charging.
When the battery is fully charged, the holder stops
flashing and the blue light stays on.

polymerization cycle
- selector buttons (5) & (6) for selecting the type of
menu and the unit configuration
LCD display (3):
The LCD display shows, from top to bottom:
- readout of light emission time for polymerization (in
seconds),
- three
polymerization mode,
- symbols AF and LA, which appear if the AutoFocus and
Laser Target are activated,
- diameter of the selected light guide: 7.5mm (larger
circle) or 5.5mm.
The table below tells you which polymerization mode is
