Startup of the filter
1. Be sure Locking ring (Image 5) is secure (hand tighten--only slight pressure is required).
2. Open manual air relief valve a few turns (Image 4) Only by hand, do not use force.
3. All suction and discharge valves must be open when starting the system. Failure to do so could cause
severe personal injury and/or property damage.
4. Stand clear of the filter and prime and start the pump. Air trapped in the system will automatically
vent to the pool and out air relief valve. Close air relief valve as soon as air is vented.
5. Check if the water is running and return to pool, and check the reading of pressure gauge.

Filtering
Filtration starts as soon as flow is steady through the filter. As the filter cartridge
removes dirt from the pool water, the accumulated dirt causes a resistance to flow. As
a result, the gauge pressure will rise and the flow will decrease. When the pressure
rises to 7-10 psi (0,49-0,70 Bar) above the starting pressure, or when flow decreases
below desired rate, clean or replace the filter cartridge.
Cartridge clean / replacement
1. Turn off the system totally by unplugging it from electric outlet.
2. Close all valves to prevent waterflow into the system (2 pcs), (1. / Image 8)
3. To assist draining process and opening the lid: open air release valve a few turns. Do not use too
much force.
4. To empty the filter casing, open inlet clamp (Only necessary when cleaning the prefilter basket)
(Image 9)
5. Open the quick connection on the outlet hose (2.-3. / Image 8)
6. Unscrew and remove locking ring (counterclockwise) (3. / Image 8)
7. Carefully lift off top cover (can be tight) to gain access to filter cartridge. (4. / Image 8)
8. Lift out cartridge and clean casing if necessary (5. /Image 8)
9. Disconnect prefilter basket casing and clean basket when necessary (Image 9 / Basket) .
10. Clean the cartridge (Image 10) with water hose and set to dry. If you have a replacement cartridge
you can use that and resume using the system right away.
