For measurement values obtained according to the respective product standard, see the last page of
this Instruction Manual.

4. Mounting instructions.

Before any work on the machine itself, pull the power plug from the socket outlet.
WARNING
Fasten the machine onto the GRIT GIB, GIBE undercarriage (see mounting instruc-
tions). The fastening of both the undercarriage to the floor and the machine to the undercarriage
must be suitable to withstand the forces occurring during working.
Use appropriate screw connections (size, length) for mounting.
5. Electrical connection (see appendix).
Hazardous Voltage
WARNING
Contact may cause electric shock or
burn.
The machine is not equipped with a
mains plug and must be connected to the power
supply. The electrical connection, which is to be
provided by customer, must be carried out by a
qualified electrician.

6. Intended use of the machine.

The machine is intended for stationary sanding/grinding of metal materials using manufacturer
approved grinding belts, or for mobile use with the GRIT GIM undercarriage.

7. Adjustments.

Before any work on the machine
WARNING
itself, pull the power plug from
the socket outlet.

7.1 Adjusting the spark guard.

Loosen both wing bolts and adjust the spark
guard in such a manner that the grinding belt
is covered as far as possible.
Tighten both wing bolts again.

Observe mains voltage: The mains voltage and
the frequency of the power source must agree
with the data on the type plate of the machine.
Before starting operation for the first time,
check the rotation direction of the motor. The
rotation direction may be changed only by a
qualified electrician.
