Radio playback

1. Press the [MODE] button on the front of the
device until FM or DAB mode is displayed, or
press the desired mode on the remote control.
ð The display shows the [FM] or [DAB] symbol.
In radio mode, the display shows the following infor-
mation:
n Mode: FM or DAB.
n Stored programme channel, if the radio station is
stored in the programme memory.
n Station name, if the station transmits RDS text.

RDS is only available for stations in the FM fre‐
quency range and only if the corresponding sta‐
tion transmits RDS data.
If the station does not broadcast RDS text, then the
frequency is displayed instead of the station name.

Finding FM stations

Automatic tuning
Prerequisite:
The DAM/FM antenna is connected.

1. Press and hold the [Next] or [Previous] button in
FM playback mode to activate the automatic full
scan function.
ð The display shows the text [Auto Tuning]
(Fig. 31).
Manual tuning
Prerequisite:
The DAM/FM antenna is connected.

1. Press and hold the click wheel to activate the
manual station search function.
ð The display shows the [Manual Tune]
(Fig. 32).

2. Turn the click wheel to change the frequency
range.
3. Press the click wheel to confirm your selection.
Automatic full scan
The automatic full scan function automatically cre-
ates and saves a station list with up to 30 stations.
The stations are sorted according to the strongest
reception.
Prerequisite:
The DAM/FM antenna is connected.

1. Press the [MENU] button.
ð The display shows the text [FM Station]
(Fig. 33).
2. Turn the click wheel until the display shows
[Auto Search].
3. Press the click wheel.
ð The display shows the text [Search Yes].
4. Press the click wheel again.
ð The automatic full scan is started. After the
search is complete, the device will jump to
the first station on the list.

Storing FM stations

1. Press and hold one of the station preset buttons
on top of the device or the remote control.
ð The display shows the station preset
number.

control.
