When no external input-output device is available
this connector must be closed with the supplied
cover that short-circuits the START and INTER-
LOCK inputs with the COMMON input.

Connection D (J4) - Serial

This is a serial input/output connector to control via
an RS 232 connection the DRYVAR 150.
Note that the vent valve can also be controlled by
means of the RS 232 connection.
The supplied RS 232 cable is wired as shown in
the following figure.

VENT VALVE INSTALLATION

The vent valve (mod. 969-9834) allows to avoid
undesired venting of the pump during temporary
power failure (5 sec. maximum) and enables an
automatic vent operation.
Immediately after the start command the vent
valve will be opened for 2 minutes, if the "Soft
Start" is enabled, or 30 seconds if the "Soft Start" is
disabled to allow the diaphragm pump valves to be
cleaned from the humidity.
To install the vent valve, unscrew the threaded
plug (see figure below).
Then screw the vent valve into the pump and
tighten it using a 16 mm hexagonal spanner with a
torque of 2.5 Nm.
Do not overtighten the valve as this may damage
the thread on the pump.
