Connection

After installation of all components, you have to connect the display cables and the voltage supply.
Connect all cables as depicted in the connection scheme in „Individual part names". The plugs only fit in
the socket with the correct polarity.
• Connect the plug of the connection cable (3) with the socket „DISP" on the control unit (1).
• Connect the eight plugs of the ultrasound sensors (A to H) in the right sequence with the correspond-
ing sockets (A through H) of the control unit (1). Make sure that the letters on the cables and sockets
are in the right sequence.
After you have made almost all connections, you have to connect the voltage supply.
The parking system is connected in a manner that assures that the front sensors are always active whi-
le driving.
During forward travel, the brake signal is integrated into the parking system by means of the blue wire for
vehicles with automatic transmissions. For manual transmission vehicles, the blue wire must be connec-
ted to the ignition (switched plus). The brake signal is not needed for these vehicles.
If this permanent function is not desired when driving, you may interconnect an optional switch (not part
of the delivery).
When driving backwards, the system is powered via the reversing lights. A selective switch activates the
rear sensors and turns the front sensors off.
Measure the correct cables with a voltmeter or a diode test lamp when the reverse gear is engaged and
the ignition is on. The lights and the blinkers should be off. If you were able to determine the right cables,
turn the ignition off again.
Connect the yellow cable (5) with the voltage supply cable of the reversing light.
Make sure that the contact place is permanently insulated (e.g. insulated clamps, tape, etc.).
With an optional cable cutting connector, you can easily establish safe contact without
severing the light cable.
For this purpose, place the cable cutting connector around the voltage cable of the headlight and addi-
tionally the yellow conductor of the connection cable (5) into the connector. Use pliers to press the con-
tact point onto the cables.
Connect the black strand of cable (5) with the ground on the chassis.
Contact the red conductor of the connection cable (5) with the positive switching cable „ignition".
Connect the small white plug of the power supply cable with the socket „PWR" of the control unit (1).
