Winter operation:
Set the thermostat to the maximum setting and select the desired heating level (illustration
1: pos. 3 or 4). If the air temperature is acceptable, turn the thermostat counterclockwise
until the heater switches off. The thermostat will now maintain the desired temperature by
restarting the heating function when the temperature falls below the set level. Depending
on the size of the green house, it is recommended that a heating level of 2000 watts be
used during the winter months. The lower setting of 1000 watts is sufficient during
transitional periods.
Summer operation:
If you want to cool your green house during the summer months, select fan mode
(illustration 1: pos. 2). Set the thermostat to the maximum level.
Recommendation:
When you want to keep delicate plants in your green house through the winter, we
recommend that you install a second heat source to intervene in case the first source
drops out (due to a power outage, e.g.). This will protect your plants from frostbite.
Note: A slight emission of smoke or odor is possible when using for the first time. This is
normal and is not a cause for concern. This is a sign that a drop of oil has fallen onto the
heating coil during the manufacturing process. This will quickly evaporate and should not
occur again.
