Prior to Operation

• Make sure your battery pack is (fully) charged.
• Make sure the battery pack is properly seated.
• Make sure the guards have been mounted
correctly. The saw blade guard must be in
closed position.
• Make sure the saw blade rotates in the
direction of the arrow on the blade.
OPERATION
WARNING: To reduce the risk
of serious personal injury, turn
tool off and disconnect tool from
power source before making any
adjustments or removing/installing
attachments or accessories.
Instructions for use
WARNING:
• Always observe the safety instructions
and applicable regulations.
• Ensure the material to be sawn is fi rmly
secured in place.
• Apply only a gentle pressure to the tool
and do not exert side pressure on the
saw blade.
• Avoid overloading.
Proper Hand Position (fi g. F)
WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious
personal injury, ALWAYS use proper
hand position as shown.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious
personal injury, ALWAYS hold securely in
anticipation of a sudden reaction.
Proper hand position requires one hand on the front
handle (3), with the other hand on the main handle
(22).
Switching on and off (fi g. A)
For safety reasons the on/off switch (1) of your tool
is equipped with a lock-off button (2).
• Press the lock-off button to unlock the tool.
• To run the tool, press the on/off switch (1).
As soon as the on/off switch is released the
lock-off switch is automatically activated to
prevent unintended starting of the machine.

WARNING: Do not switch the tool on
or off when the saw blade touches the
workpiece or other materials.
Guiding the tool (fi g. F)
• For optimum results, clamp the workpiece
bottom up.
• Use the kerf indicator (11) to follow the line
drawn on the workpiece. The kerf indicator
lines up with the left side of the saw blade
when set to 50° bevel. The kerf indicator lines
up with the right side of the saw blade when
set to 0° bevel.
Bevel cuts
• Set the required angle. The bevel detent will
automatically locate at 22.5° and 45°. If any
intermediate angle is required hold and lock the
shoe in place.
Pocket cuts (fi g. A, F)
• Measure and mark the required pocket cut.
• Retract the lower blade guard.
• Rest the front of the saw shoe on the
workpiece and make sure that the blade is
positioned over the cutting line.
• Release the lower blade guard and rest it on
the workpiece, taking care that the blade is not
contacting the workpiece.
• Switch on the tool and feed the blade into the
material at full speed, holding the tool fi rmly
against the workpiece.
Dust extraction (fi g. A)
Your tool is fi tted with a dust extraction outlet (5).
• Always use a vacuum extractor designed in
compliance with the applicable Directives
regarding dust emission when sawing wood.
Vacuum hoses of most common vacuum
cleaners will fi t directly into the dust extraction
spout.
WARNING: Do not use a vacuum
extractor without proper spark
protection when sawing metal.
