V. OPERATION
5.1- Intended use
- The product is intended for outdoor domestic use in private gardens.
- The product is designed to shred garden debris such as clippings and small twigs within the limits of its
characteristics (see table1).
- Do not used the machine for any other purpose outside of the described scope in this manual.
- Do not use the machine for unsuitable purposes (for ex. for shredding other materials such as plastic, paper; glass;
metal...)
- It is recommended to use the product only on dry surfaces, do NOT operate on damp or wet working area.
- The tool is not intended for artisanal, commercial, professional or industrial use (ex.: in public parks...).
The following types of material can
be used in the shredder chipper:
Trees, including roots.
Green branches, Twigs.
Waste from cut branches.
Waste from hedge trimming.
Bamboo.
Conifer trees are tolerated at a 20%
mixture level
5.2- Operation
BEFORE any
operation:
-- Always visually inspect that the product does not show signs of use or damage. Replace any used or
damaged part.
-- Check that the screws, bolts and nuts are well tightened. Tighten firmly the screws, bolts and nuts when
needed.
-- Ensure that the hopper and discharge chute with cover are properly and securely installed.
-- Look into the feeding chamber to make sure it is empty. Do NOT start machine before clearing any material
still present in the feeding chamber.
The following types of material MUST NOT be used in the shredder
chipper:
- Allowed materials with foreign materials (e.g. wood with nails ...)
- Not suitable for contaminated materials (e.g. wood with asbestos, ...)
- glass, porcelain ...
- metal, cans, wires ...
- plastic bottles, plastic bags, plastic sheets,
- stones, marble ...
- fabric, garment, shoes ...
- vines
- soft leafy material and waste without firm consistency (e.g. kitchen
waste).
IMPORTANT:
▪ Do not use dry wood
▪ Do not use resinous wood only (from conifers, e.g. pine, cedar,
cypress)
▪ Do not use bamboo, lignified wood.
ATTENTION! National or local regulations regarding noise may restrict the use of the
machine to certain hours or periods. Check with your local authority.
Note: careful daily inspection should be performed before use and after a drop or shock
to identify major defects. Do not use the machine until the defects have been repaired.
Restrict working hours to a minimum and always take rest periods.
For proper use, after each work period take a rest period (for ex take a rest for 10
minutes after a work period of 60 minutes).
