1. Product description
The Gardigo bat house is a natural shelter for bats. Bats nest preferable in barns or
lofts. The continuously improving insolation of houses and roofs in our area makes it
more and more difficult for bats to find an appropriate to place to nest. The bat shelter
of Gardigo is adjusted to the requirements of bats. The bark surface melts with the
nature.
2. Putting into operation
Hang up the bat shelter in your garden, ideally near a forest or a wetland, such as a lake
or a pond, where bats can find food and additionally control the insect population. Hang
up the shelter in a height of ca. 3 – 6 meter, this corresponds their natural way of life
and particularly protects them from cats and other enemies. The bat shelter must not
be located in the direct sun. The approaching path should be free off obstacles, such as
branches. We recommend to set up multiple shelters in a larger distance to each other.
It may take a while, until bats discover the shelters, bats excrements attract them.
They eat insects, such as mosquitoes or flies, what can be very beneficial for men.
