CAUTION: Turn off the switch and unplug the electrical cord before servicing.
Problem
Motor will not start.

Solution
• Push plug securely into outlet.
• Try another outlet.
• Check circuit breaker.
• Turn on/off switch to |.
• Empty the dust cup and/or change the bag.
Change or clean the filters. Hint: If picking up
fine dust, the dust cup/bag may not look full,
but a fine substance tends to reduce suction
when it blocks airflow through the foam filter.
Make sure the foam filter is installed properly.
• Replace a cut, or out of shape belt.
• Clean hair and thread from bristles and end
cap area. Replace brush roll if bristles are
worn.
• Remove any clogs from the hose that restrict
the airflow.
• For bare floor cleaning, make sure switch
control is in bare floor position.
• Empty the dust cup and/or change the bag.
Change or clean the filters. Hint: If picking up
fine dust, the dust cup/bag may not look full,
but a fine substance tends to reduce suction

Make sure the foam filter is installed properly.
• Replace paper bag/empty dust cup
• Replace paper bag/replace or clean filters
• Remove any clogs from hose that restrict
airflow, then try again.
• Replace light bulb. See page 11.
• Remove base plate and clean debris from the
brush roll compartment.
• Replace a cut or out of shape belt.
• Replace a cut or out of shape belt.
• Unplug cleaner and check for obstructions in
hose, wands and attachments.
• Check for full paper bag or cup.
• Clean/replace motor filter.
• Call 1-800-282-2886 between 8:00 a.m. to
7:30 p.m. CST Monday through Friday and
10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. CST on Saturday and
Sunday. Know the Model number and Serial
number when you call.
• Install Bag and Air Basket.
