Fitting the HGPP-...:
Please note
High acceleration forces in the longitudinal
direction of the gripper (e.g. when fitted on
moving parts such as the DGP-...) reduce
the gripping force.
S Make sure that the resulting work load
forces lie within the reduced gripping
force range.
Check whether adapter kits are necessary.
S
Adapter kits enable the HGPP-... to be connected to Festo handling compo-
nents (see section "Accessories").
Place the HGPP.-... as near as possible to
S
the compressed air supply (short tubing).
This will lead to shorter pressurization
times.
Select one of the following methods of
S
fastening:
– direct fastening from the front (fasten-
ing screw one size smaller)
– direct fastening from the rear.
Fasten the HGPP-... as follows:
S
– Insert the dowel pins (a) in the fittings

– Place the gripper with dowel pins on
the fastening surface.
– Screw in four screws (b) for fastening.
