Please make sure that:
- the rope goes through the connector,
- the connector's sleeve is secured and facing the user.
c) Before starting the descent, select the best suitable braking
device considering the weight of the user, how familiar he/
she is with this technique, the rope, the type of surface, etc.
d) single-rope descent (fig. 4) with additional moderate brake
(fig. 5) and with additional strong brake (fig. 6),
e) it is advisable to mount the safety loop (fig. 7) when stopping
along the rope.
7.2 - Abseiling ø 7.8÷10 mm
a) Arrange the device on the rope as shown in fig. 8,
b) connect the OKA to the attachment point of the harness as
described under point 7.1, letter b)
c) before starting the descent, select the best suitable braking
device, as defined under point 7.1, letter c),
d) abseiling (fig. 9) with additional moderate brake (fig. 10).
7.3 - Abseiling ø 10÷12.7 mm
a) Arrange the device on the rope as shown in fig. 11,
b) connect the OKA to the attachment point of the harness as
described under point 7.1, b)
c) abseiling (fig. 12),
d) it is advisable to mount the safety loop (fig. 13) when
stopping along the rope.

7.4 - Other uses

a) Descent:
- "frictioned and drawn" on single-rope ø 7.8÷10 mm (fig.
14),
- "drawn" on single-rope ø 10÷12.7 mm (fig. 15),
- "frictioned and drawn" on double-rope ø 7.8÷10 mm (fig.
16),
- with "releasable rope" on single rope (fig. 17) and relevant
"quick-release lock" (fig. 18). Warning! The descent with
a "releasable rope" requires a specific expertise. The
rope needs to be always under load in order to avoid
accidental release!
b) Self-locking system for emergency retrieve (fig. 19).
Fig. 20 - In order to avoid any accidental entanglements (fig.
20A), secure the OKA to the material holder of the harness with
a connector (fig. 20B) when it is not being used.
8 – PRE AND POST USE CONTROLS
Check and make sure that the product:
ü shows no sign of cracks or wear,
ü shows no sign of mechanical deformations,
ü is suitable for the intended purpose.
Make sure that the wear of:
ü the aluminium alloy body (A), generated by the rope friction
is below 15-20% of the initial size,
ü the locking equipment (D) does not prevent the connector
to correctly adhere. If so, replace the locking equipment as
shown in figure 21.
