Working with disks

– Before connecting the power, please make sure that the upper com-
ponent is correctly locked in place and the working container is in its
proper position.
– Before connecting the power, set the main switch to «o» (= off).
– Connect plug, first to the grater and then to the socket (230 V~).
– Set main switch to «I». The lamp lights up, and the grater is now ready
to operate.
– The operating button « » lights up on the operating panel.
– Fill the feed hopper with the food to be processed and press down
with the tamper.
Notes:
– Never overfill the input hopper (danger of overload!)
– Never insert the food to be processed manually, always use the
tamper!
– Depending on the food you are rasping and the result you want, you
can work on level «1» or «2». The button you press lights up. You
can change between levels at any time. Softer foods like cheese and
cucumber will be cut in a more uniform fashion at speed «1» while
harder foods will be cut at speed «2».
– Processing can be interrupted at any time by pressing the « » button.
Notes:
– If buttons «1» and «2» both flash, the equipment has not been
assembled properly and the safety circuit is inhibiting its func-
tioning. Switch off the grater at the main switch, and reassem-
ble.
– Never reach into the feed hopper when the motor is running!
Do not press down the food being processed by hand or with a
utensil like a spatula, always use the tamper!
– Automatic switch-off function: after 5 minutes the grater will
switch off automatically. After 4 minutes the « » flashes as a
warning. Now switch the machine off with « ».
– Important: if all three buttons («1», «2» and « ») flash, a motor
failure has occurred. In this case, please contact Zyliss customer
services.
Tips:
– To get consistent results, we would advise you not to allow the feed
hopper to become completely empty (leave up to 2 cm of the food you
are grating).
– Add more food, press down with the tamper and then switch on again.
– You can get a long cut by inserting the pieces in the hopper crosswise.
