TECHNICAL INSTRUCTIONS

POWER SUPPLY
If adopting the mains power supply, use the
adapter (100-240 Vac) supplied.
If battery power operated, use the optional 12V
battery (art. 828). The average duration of the
battery is from 10 to 12 hours. It is a good idea
to recharge it after use with the special battery
charger (art. 169): do not leave the battery
uncharged since it causes deterioration.
FUNCTIONING
The PS-T is ideal for the tennis matchs played
to the best of the 3 sets; it is available a manual
working, in which is the operator who type in all
the various scores, and an automatic mode,
where only the introduction of the game points is
required (see programming chapter). In the
automatic working mode, inserting game points,
the scoreboard itself keeps the remaining scores
and all the visualizations up to date, activate the
Tie-Break (planable also in the third set), identify
the victories of game/set/match and highlight by
a lighten of the digits of the sets by 3 seconds.
All that according to the standard rules of tennis.
Turning on and off
Turn on and off with the "ON OFF" key. When
turned off, the writing [OFF] remains on the
console display, indicating it is powered.
Visualization
All of the indications visualized on the score-
board also appear on the console display
situated behind the scoreboard.
Start of a new match
To b e g i n a n e w m a t c h , p r e s s t h e
"NEW MATCH" key. This will produce the
_
zeroing of all display information. (Please see
Programming chapter).
Assignation of points
The "POINTS" key increases the score of game
and Tie-break of the corresponding HOME or
GUEST player. In the standard game,
_
the

inscriptions " 0", "15", "30", "45", "Ad"
_
(advantage), "du" (equality), "-" (disadvantage)
are shown; in the Tie-Break progressive
numbers: " 0", " 1", " 2", .. are shown. With
_
_
the "RESET POINTS" key the game scores
_
are set to zero and one quits the Tie-break;
such key is not managed in the automatic
working mode.
Tie-Break activation
With the "TIE BREAK" key the PS-T is
_
arranged to manage the game score according
to the rules of the Tie-break; that is highlighted
by the lighting up of the corresponding light.
This key is ignored in the automatic working
mode.
Assignation of the Set
The "GAME+1" key increases the score [from
"0" to "9"] of set of the corresponding HOME
or GUEST player. Keeping it pressed by 1
second, it turns the digit off, which is relighted
to "0" to the next pressure. The "NEXT SET"
key allows to turn on the light of the player,
HOME or GUEST, winning the set and pass to
the next one setting to zero the scores. The
"GAME+1" and "NEXT SET" keys are not
managed in the automatic working mode.
Service indication
The "SERVICE" key alternately turns on the 2
(S) lights showing the server player; keeping it
pressed by 1 second the switching off of the
both lights is had. It is accepted also in the
automatic working mode.
Canceling an operation
With the "BACK" key, the last operation is
cancelled. A maximum of 3 operations can be
cancelled.
Acoustic signals
The "SOUND" key makes utter a sound of type
and volume
programmed (see Programming
chapter).
LINKING UP DIFFERENT SCOREBOARDS
It is possible to link up different scoreboards,
situated in different locations, thus providing a
better visibility to the public and to the athletes.
For this objective, it is sufficient to use a
common and easily available 4 wire telephonic
cable with RJ11 connector; insert one connector
