INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS.

General information:
•
Do not store struts below -15 °C or above +50 °C
•
Disassembly and installation may only be performed
by fully quali ed and certi ed personnel at a specialist
workshop
•
Special car manufacturer's tools and equipment
are required for replacement work!
•
Check air pipes and cables – renew if damaged
Dismantling the front axle strut
•
Activate the vehicle's jacking mode
•
Remove any parts (fuel lter etc.) located
above the spring strut in the engine
compartment
•
Disconnect the plug-in connection

•
Remove the nuts on the strut tower
and remove ring

•
Raise vehicle
Use the chassis lifting points prescribed by
the car manufacturer. Risk of serious bodily
injury or death due to the vehicle slipping.

Caution! The vehicle and the air suspension module may
be damaged if replacement work is not carried
out according to the instructions or in a different order
•
BILSTEIN shock absorbers may only be replaced
as a set
•
Air springs are left and right-hand parts
•
Remove wheel
•
Vent air from strut with OBD system
The ignition must remain switched o during
work on the air suspension module.
•
Unscrew pressure line connection
on upper end of suspension strut
»
Do not twist, fold or crimp air line.
•
Seal line with plug during work
•
Pull the pin
and out and release the coupling rod

•
Disconnect or remove any cables and
retainers on the wheel bearing housing
»
in the height sensor down
