Application hints
Mounting
Mounting is possible in any position. Use squeezing for the attachment of the smooth
housing (no setscrews). For the hreaded housing, 2 nuts are supplied. Do not exceed
the tightening torque of 1.5 Nm.
Environment
Every deposit on the window reduces the sensing range. The mounting position
should be chosen, whenever possible, in order to prevent deposits of dust (not facing
upward) and so that liquids cannot reach the window. Furthermore, accessability for
cleaning should be provided.
Cable
The standard cable (PVC) is not suited for use in environments containing oil or sol-
vents nor for repeated bending. In these cases, the versions with the highly flexible
PUR cable are recommended.
Range setting
The actual range is fixed and cannot be changed by the user. For reliable operation,
the LED must light up permanently when a target is present (it is flashing if an unstable
situation is present).
Cleaning
For cleaning, a soft rag moisted with isopropylic alcohol or soapy water is recom-
mended.

Anwendungshinweise
Einbau
Die Einbaulage ist beliebig. Die Befestigung der Geräte mit glattem Gehäuse erfolgt
vorzugsweise durch Klemmung. Stellschrauben sind zu vermeiden. Für die Geräte
mit M5-Gehäuse liegen 2 Muttern bei. Das maximale Anzugsmoment von 1,5 Nm darf
nicht überschritten werden.
Umgebung
Beläge auf dem Fenster reduzieren die Tastweite. Der Einbau solldeshalb nach Mög-
lichkeit so erfolgen, dass sich wenig Staub ablagert (Fenster nicht gegen oben) und
dass im Betrieb keine Flüssigkeit auf das Fenster gelangt. Im weiteren ist darauf zu
achten, dass es für die Reinigung zugänglich ist.
Kabel
Das PVC-Standardkabel ist nicht geeignet für öl- und lösungsmittelhaltige Umgebung
sowie bei repetitiven Biegungen. In diesen Fällen empfiehlt sich der Einsatz des
hochflexiblen PUR - Kabels.
Einstellung
Die Tastweite ist fest eingestellt und kann vom Anwender nicht verändert werden. Ein
sicherer Betrieb ist dann gewährleistet, wenn bei geschaltetem Ausgang die gelbe LED
dauernd leuchtet (der unsichere Bereich wird durch Blinken der LED angezeigt).
Reinigung
Die Reinigung erfolgt vorzugsweise mit einem weichen Lappen, angefeuchtet mit
Isopropylalkohol oder Seifenwasser.
Wichtiger Hinweis
Der Einsatz dieser Geräte in Anwendungen, wo die Sicherheit von Personen von
deren Funktion abhängt, ist unzulässig.

Recommandations d'usage
Montage
La cellule peut être montée dans n'importe quelle position. Les appareils à boîtiers
lisses se fixent de préférence par serrage (éviter les vis de ....). Pour les appareils à
boîtiers filetés, 2 écrous sont compris dans la livraison. Ne pas dépasser le couple de
serrage maximal de 1,5 Nm.
Environnement
Tout dépôt sur la fenêtre entraîne une diminution de la portée; c'est pourquoi il faudrait,
dans la mesure du possible, monter la cellule de manière à éviter une accumulation
de poussière (ne pas monter la fenêtre orientée vers le haut), ainsi que la présence
de liquides sur elle. Il faut également veiller à ce qu'elle soit accessible pour un
éventuel nettoyage.
Câble de raccordement
Le câble standard en PVC ne résiste pas à un environnement contenant des huiles
ou des solvants, ni à des flexions répétées. Dans de tels cas, il est recommandé
d'employer la version avec le câble extra-souple en PUR.
Réglage
La portée est fixe et ne peut pas être réglée par l'utilisateur. Pour garantir un fonction-
nement fiable, lorsque la cellule est en détection, il faut que la LED soit allumée en
permanence (elle clignotte en zone de détection pas sûre).
Nettoyage
Il est conseillé pour ce faire d'utiliser un chiffon doux, légèrement humecté avec de
l'alcool isopropylique ou de l'eau savonneuse.
Notice importante
Ces détecteurs ne peuvent être utilisés dans des applications où la protection
ou la sécurité de personnes est concernée.
