Using an Extension Cable
If an extension cable is required, use an approved
extension cable suitable for the power input of this
machine (see technical data). The minimum
conductor size is 1.5 mm
. When using a cable reel,

always unwind the cable completely.

ASSEMBLY AND ADJUSTMENT

WARNING: Prior to assembly and
adjustment always unplug the tool.
Inserting and Removing a Bit (fi g. A)
● Open the chuck by turning the sleeve (7)
counterclockwise and insert the bit shank.
● Put the chuck key (8) into each hole in the side
of the chuck and turn clockwise until tight.
● To remove the bit, proceed in reverse order.
Fitting the Side Handle (fi g. A)
● Screw the side handle (5) into one of the
corresponding holes in the tool.
WARNING: Always use the side handle!
Fitting the Spade Handle (fi g. A)
● Screw the spade handle (6) into the
corresponding hole on the back of the tool. Note
that the spade handle can be mounted in two
different positions.
WARNING: Use the spade handle
whenever possible.
Forward/reverse Slider (fi g. C)
● To select forward or reverse rotation, use the
forward/reverse-switch (3) (see arrow on tool).
WARNING: Always wait until the motor
has come to a complete standstill before
changing the direction of rotation.
Chuck Removal (fi g. B)
● Open the chuck jaws as far as possible.
● Insert an Allen key (12) into the chuck and
remove the chuck retaining screw (11) by turning
clockwise.

● Tighten an Allen key into the chuck and strike it
with a hammer as shown.
OPERATION
Instructions for Use
WARNING: Always observe the safety
instructions and applicable regulations.
Prior to Operation:
● Insert the appropriate bit.
● Mark the spot where the hole is to be drilled.
● Be aware of the location of pipework and wiring.
● Apply only a gentle pressure to the tool.
Excessive force does not speed up drilling but
decreases tool performance and may shorten
tool life.
Proper Hand Position (fi g. A)
WARNING: To reduce the risk of
seriouspersonal injury, Always use
proper hand position as shown.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious
personal injury, ALWAYS hold securely
in anticipation of a sudden reaction.
Proper hand position requires one hand on the
side handle (5), with the other hand on the main
handle (9) or one hand on the spade handle (6)
with the other hand on the main handle (9).
Switching On and Off (fi g. A)
● To run the tool, press the variable speed switch
(1). The pressure exerted on the variable speed
switch determines the tool speed.
● If necessary, press the lock-on button (2) for
continuous operation and release the switch.
The lock-on button works only in full speed,
forward rotation.
● To stop the tool, release the switch.
● To stop the tool in continuous operation, press the
switch briefl y and release it. Always switch off the
tool when work is fi nished and before unplugging.
