Assembly and adjustment

Prior to assembly and adjustment always
unplug the tool.
Inserting and removing a bit (fig. A)
• Open the chuck (3) by turning the sleeve
counterclockwise and insert the bit shank.
• Put the chuck key into each hole in the side of
the chuck and turn clockwise until tight.
Fitting the side handle (fig. A)
• Screw the side handle (4) into one of the
corresponding holes in the tool.
Use the side handle whenever possible.
Fitting the spade handle (fig. A)
• Screw the spade handle (5) into the corresponding
hole on the back of the tool. Note that the spade
handle can be mounted in two different positions.
Use the spade handle whenever possible.
Selecting the direction of rotation (fig. A & C)
• Use the forward/reverse switch (2) to select
forward or reverse rotation.

Chuck removal (fig. B & C)
• Open the chuck jaws as far as possible.
• Insert an Allen key (8) into the chuck and remove
the chuck retaining screw (7) by turning clockwise.

Prior to operation:

• Insert the appropriate bit.

• Mark the spot where the hole is to be drilled.

• Be aware of the location of pipework and wiring.

• Apply only a gentle pressure to the tool. Excessive
force does not speed up drilling but decreases
tool performance and may shorten tool life.
Switching on and off (fig. A & C)
• To run the tool, press the on/off-switch (1).
• To stop the tool, release the switch.
Thread tapping and mixing
The forward/reverse action enables the tool to be
used for thread tapping and mixing.
• Install the side handle.
• Select the required direction of rotation.
• Proceed as described above.
• Do not use this tool to mix or pump
• Do not mix or stir inflammable liquids
