❐ Only connect the mains adapter to a plug socket that has
been properly installed. The plug socket must also be read-
ily accessible after connection.
❐ Make sure that the connected mains cable does not pre-
sent a trip hazard. The cable must not hang down from the
surface on which the device is placed in order to prevent
the device from being pulled down.
❐ Never pull on the mains cable to move the device.
❐ Position the cable in such a way that it does not become
squashed or bent and does not come into contact with
hot surfaces.
❐ Remove the mains adapter from the plug socket
– when the device is not in use,
– if a fault occurs while the device is in operation,
– before a thunderstorm,
– before you clean the device.
❐ When you want to remove the mains adapter from the
plug socket, always pull the plug and never the cable.

The Proper Handling of the Device

such as cassettes, disks, hard drives or magnetic cards in
order to avoid any loss of data caused by the magnetic
fi eld of the device!
❐ Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures, strong
temperature fl uctuations, direct sunlight, frost or moisture.
❐ Do not drop the device or allow it to be knocked violently.
❐ Maintain a suffi cient distance from sources of heat such as
hobs, ovens, candles or fi res.
