VISOR MOVEMENT
The visor is made of scratch resistant polycarbonate. It is equipped with a mechanism enabling roto-translation,
which allows the visor to be moved away from the helmet upon opening and ensuring first class air tightness upon
closing.
The mechanism has five functional positions: the fully closed position with the visor locked in place by the mech-
anism on the chin guard, ideal when travelling even at high speed, the open visor position with micro opening
feature to let in small amounts of air while travelling at low speeds, as well as two intermediate positions and
the fully open/raised position to facilitate putting on and adjusting the helmet (to be used only when the vehicle
is at a standstill).
The visor locking mechanism, as well as providing an airtight seal while travelling, reduces the probability of
it opening in the case of a fall and stops objects striking the wearer's head.
When the visor is lowered, it automatically locks into place. To open the visor, a two-step process is required:
1 – Press the button and push the visor upwards (13), the visor locks in the micro opening configuration;
2 – Press the button again and push the button upward, the visor unhooks completely and it will be free to
rotate to the fully open position (14).
Important. The helmet should be on a flat surface while carrying out the operations
that follow.
REMOVING THE VISOR
To remove the visor, raise it until it is fully open (14), then beginning from one of the two sides of the helmet pull
the release lever (15) downwards and remove the visor from the shell of the helmet (16).
Repeat the operation from the other side and remove the visor.
FITTING THE VISOR
Starting from one side of the helmet with the visor fully raised (14), pull the visor locking lever down, then insert
it on the base of the mechanism fixed to the helmet (16). Release the locking lever (15) and repeat the operation
from the other side as well. Open and close the visor to check the proper rotation and functioning of the
lock and micro opening mechanism.
MOVING THE SUN VISOR
The sun visor is manipulated with the slider on the left-hand side of the helmet. To lower the sun visor push the
slider backwards. To make the sun visor disappear, press the slider forward. (17). The cursor has two clicks that
secure the visor in the fully up position (A) and in the partially lowered position (B).
REMOVING THE SUN VISOR
The scratch-resistant polycarbonate sun visor has clips inserted into special positions to the side of the cheek
pads. The helmet should be on a flat surface while carrying out the operations that follow.
To remove the sun visor, completely lower it and raise the visor until it is fully open. Starting from one side of
the helmet, rotate the visor downwards and pull out the coupling (18). Repeat the operation on the other side as
well and remove the sun visor.
FITTING THE SUN VISOR
To install the sun visor, lower the lever moving the sun visor using the slider and make sure that the side guides
are down. Starting from one side of the helmet, with the visor completely raised, insert the sun visor clip in its rear
housing, making sure that it rests on the lateral guides and that it is fastened properly (19). Repeat the operation on
the other side too. Check the sun screen works properly by moving it up and down a couple of times.
CHIN GUARD OPENING AND CLOSING
To open the chin guard, pull the red button downwards (20). Follow the movement of the guard during the rising
phase and always check its correct position when the chin guard opens. (21). To close the chin guard, lower it
until you hear it click into the closed position. Check the closure of the chin guard by trying to raise it without
touching the red button.
18
Important. The helmet is only approved as a full-face helmet; therefore the chin guard
must only be opened to put the helmet on and then closed again before setting off. The hel-
met is not approved to be used for riding with the chin guard open, therefore, no liability is
accepted if the helmet is used incorrectly.
OPENING/CLOSING THE CHIN GUARD AIR VENTS
To open /close the chin guard vents, raise/lower the air vent sliders (22).
OPENING/CLOSING THE FRONT AIR VENT
The helmet has an air vent at the front, above the visor.
To open/close the air vent, raise or lower the slider (23)
OPENING/CLOSING THE REAR SPOILER EXTRACTOR
At the back of the helmet there is a three-position adjustable spoiler that works as an extractor. To adjust the
Spoiler's position and open/close the vents, physically raise or lower the spoiler itself (24).
PINLOCK® ANTI-FOG LENS
The visor has a Pinlock® anti-fog lens as an accessory.
The Pinlock® anti-fog lens is made of plastic that can absorb humidity and therefore prevent the visor from
misting up. The Pinlock® anti-fog lens aligns perfectly with the form of the visor and, once mounted, it creates a
hermetically-sealed insulating air chamber, thus guaranteeing a wide field of vision.
WARNING
Anti-fog devices do not entirely eliminate the possibility of mist forming on the visor, how-
ever, they do delay its formation. This means that when the device is fitted, the time it takes
for misting to occur will simply be longer.
Thus, in certain environmental conditions the visor may fog up.
When the air temperature is less than 20°C / 68°F and humidity is more than 70% the use
of a Pinlock® lens is always recommended. It should always be used in the rain as well.
FITTING THE PINLOCK® ANTI-FOG LENS
After removing the visor from the helmet, position the Pinlock® anti-fog lens inside it keeping the silicone seal
towards the inside of the visor.
Attach the socket on the left-hand side of the lens onto the left-hand visor pin (25), then arch the lens slightly (26),
and press the right-hand socket onto the right-hand visor pin (27).
Make sure that the silicone seal on the Pinlock® anti-fog lens perfectly adheres to the visor over the entire
perimeter of the helmet (28).
Remove the protective film from the Pinlock® anti-fog lens and fit the visor to the helmet.
Important. The Pinlock® anti-fog lens must be handled carefully to prevent it from
getting scratched or scuffed.
REMOVING AND CLEANING THE PINLOCK® ANTI-FOG LENS
To remove the lens, repeat the operations (26 and 25) in reverse order.
Clean the Pinlock® anti-fog lens using delicate liquid soap, lukewarm water and a soft moist cloth. Let it dry
completely for at least a day before fitting it again.
Important: DO NOT USE ABRASIVE CLEANING PRODUCTS OR LIQUIDS CON-
TAINING AMMONIA OR ALCOHOL.
