Safety

• Do not use the device for any function other than that specified in this booklet.
• Do not leave the device exposed to adverse weather conditions (rain, sun, etc.).
• Never leave packaging parts within reach of children or disabled persons.
• Do not make changes of any kind to the device.
• Do not use the device in cabins, boats, caravans or similar.
• Do not use the device in swimming pools, bathrooms or any other very damp rooms.
• Follow safety instructions to prevent damaging the user.
• After removing the product from its packaging, ensure that it is not damaged. If in doubt please contact a
professionally qualified person or authorised Vortice Technical Assistance Centre. Never leave packaging parts
within reach of children or disabled persons.
• Store the device away from children and persons with reduced physical capabilities when you decide to
disconnect it from the power supply and not to use it any more.
• Internal cleaning of the device must only be carried out by qualified personnel.
• Periodically check device conditions. If imperfections are noted, do not use the unit and immediately contact a
Vortice authorised Technical Assistance Centre.
• Promptly contact an authorised Vortice Technical Assistance Centre in the event of unit malfunction and/or
failure and request the use of original Vortice spare parts for any repairs.
• Leave the unit in a vertical position for 6 hours after transport or after cleaning, before connecting it to the
mains.
• The device must be installed by professionally qualified personnel only.
• Use the device only for the purposes described in this manual. Any improper use or modification to the device
will invalidate the warranty and the manufacturer will not be liable for any damage to property or persons.
• Use the unit in a vertical position and on a flat surface, keeping it at a distance of at least 50 cm from any object.
• Close all windows and doors when the device is in operation.
• The electrical system to which the product is connected must comply with regulations in place.
• Keep the filters clean.
• Where electrical components are being changed, they shall be fit for the purpose and to the correct
specification. At all times the manufacturer's maintenance and service guidelines shall be followed. If in doubt,
consult the manufacturer's technical department for assistance.
• This unit is equipped with a refrigerant leak detector for safety. To be effective, the unit must be electrically
powered at all times after installation, other than when servicing.
• The electrical mains data must comply with the data shown on the data plate affixed to the device (Fig. A).
• If the power cable becomes damaged, it must be replaced by an electrician or similarly qualified person, to
avoid the risk of personal injury or damage to the device.
• The use of any electric device requires compliance with a few fundamental rules, including: Never touch it with
wet or humid hands. Never touch it when barefoot. Do not allow use by unsupervised children or disabled
persons.
• In case of damage to the power cable, have an authorised Vortice Assistance Centre replace it immediately.
• Maintain a minimum distance of 50 cm from the sides of the device and from any inflammable or heatable
material.
• Switch the device off and unplug it when it is not in use.
• If the appliance comes into contact with water, unplug it immediately and have it checked by qualified
personnel before using it again.
• Do not place objects on top of the device or obstruct the air inlets/outlets.
• Switch off and disconnect the unit from the mains when not in use.
• Do not move the device by pulling on the power cable.
• Do not use the unit in the presence of flammable substances or vapours such as alcohol, insecticides, gasoline,
etc.
