First activation
IMPORTANT: before commissioning the device, it is necessary to disassemble the filters and remove the
plastic packaging of the HEPA 14 absolute filter; this is in fact supplied in a package that keeps its
characteristics and properties intact.
Operation
The operation of the device is controlled by a control panel with display. The panel allows to perform the
following operations:
- switch-on/switch-off;
- fan speed setting;
- activation/deactivation of photocatalysis module (Evo models);
- hourly programming of the operation of the device, which will switch on/off automatically at the set times,
on a daily basis;
- programming of the fan speed, to achieve the ideal compromise between purification efficiency, noise
emissions and consumption, in correspondence with 3 time slots;
- hourly programming, of the switching on/off of the UV-C lamp that activates the photocatalysis process (Evo
models), on a daily basis;
- selection of the operating mode among the following ones:
manual, switching on and off is controlled by the user;
automatic, according to the time programming previously set;
In addition, the panel emits signals regarding the operation of the device:
- situation of saturated filters and need for their cleaning/replacement;
- abnormal operating situations of the device.
In addition, the panel can be connected via RS-485 Modbus port to a BMS – Building Management System,
for simultaneous control of up to 32 devices.
The clean air outlets are equipped with a diffuser that can be manually oriented (Easy models)
Use
All functions are managed by a control panel with display found on-board the device. See the relevant
Instructions Manual for details on use.
Vortice recommends setting the operating speed on the control panel according to the table provided
below. Only this setting guarantees optimal filtering capacity of the device. The user must choose the speed
(SETPOINT SPEED column in the table) according to:
- room size (surface and height);
- number of purification cycles per hour: Vortice suggests 3 or 2 cycles.
Note:
- Do not use speed setpoints lower than those provided in the table.
- Do not install the device in rooms with a volume of less than 40.5 m
