Causes
Internal parts are obstructed by foreign
bodies
Suction pipe obstructed
Air in suction pipe
The pump is empty
Suction pressure is too low; this is gene-
rally accompanied by cavitation noises
Supply voltage to the motor is too low
Strainer is not immersed
Loose on its foundation
Pump is obstructed by foreign bodies
Pump is hard to turn
Incorrect electrical connection
Voltage too low
Pump is obstructed by foreign bodies
Ambient temperature above +40°C
Altitude > 1000 m
No current
Hydraulic part blocked
Thermal sensor release
The motor fails to run at its normal
speed (foreign bodies, defective power
supply, etc.)
The motor is faulty
Wearing of the internal elements
The suction head (HA) is exceeded
The diameter of the suction pipe is
smaller than that of the pump
The strainer and suction pipe are
partially obstructed
Remedies
Dismantle the pump and clean it
Clean all the pipes
Check the tightness of the whole pipe up
to the pump, and tighten it
Fill the pump in to prime it again
Loss of suction head or suction head is
too large
Check the voltage at the terminals of
the motor and the cross-sections of the
conductors
Immerse the strainer (min. 20 cm). Ballast
the flexible pipe if necessary
Check the screws of the stud bolts and
tighten them completely
Dismantle the pump and clean it
Check if the pump turns freely without
abnormal sticking (pump stopped)
Check the connections to the pump
Check the voltage on the motor termi-
nals; it should be within ± 10 % (50 Hz)
Dismantle the pump and clean it
The motor is designed to operate at an
ambient temperature of not more than
+40°C
Motor is designed to operate at an alti-
tude ≤ 1000
Check the electrical power
Clean the pump
Let the motor cool down
Dismantle the pump and correct the
problem
Replace it
Replace them
Reread the installation conditions and
recommendations in this data sheet
The suction pipe must have the same
diameter as the pump's suction port
Remove and clean it
