7. Troubleshooting / Fault diagnosis
Cause
Lid not fully closed or not pressed closed long enough.
Lid seal dirty.
Lid seal damaged.
Lid maladjusted.
Incorrect sealing time.
Contact pressure too low.
Teflon strip broken.
Sealing and cut-off wire faulty.
Insufficient or dirty oil in the vacuum pump.
Moist product (e.g. fresh meat, sauces), causing steam.
Lid seal dirty.
Lid seal broken.
Clogged or unusable air de-oiling element (filter) in
vacuum pump.
Gas pressure damper faulty.
Gas bottle is empty.
Gas bottle is closed.
No gas activated.

Remedy
Firmly press lid closed for longer.
Clean lid seal.
Change lid seal.
Adjust lid.
Set sealing time in program (see page 6).
Change pressure setting / vacuum setting (see page 6).
Change.
Renew.
Top up or change.
Reduce pressure or vacuum.
Clean lid seal.
Change lid seal.
Change filter.
Change damper.
Renew gas bottle.
Open to about 1 bar pressure.
Activate gas (see page 6).
