5. Commissioning, operation
5.4 Permissible ambient and operating conditions
The temperature operating limits for the diaphragm seal system are determined by
■
the specifications of the individual components. The permissible ambient and medium
temperature limits of diaphragm seal, system fill fluid and pressure measuring instrument
must therefore not be deviated from, above or below the range, even under the influence
EN
of convection and heat radiation. The temperature operating limits can be found in the
order confirmation.
In addition to the temperature operating limits mentioned above, attention must be paid to
■
compliance with the material-dependent pressure/temperature rating for diaphragm seals
and fittings (e.g. flange mounting screws):
- Flange-type diaphragm seals are marked with specifications of the material and the
permissible pressure rating. Depending on this marking, the permissible temperature
range from the respective valid flange standard applies.
- For all other diaphragm seals, the pressure/temperature rating of the data sheet
applies.
The permissible operating pressure range of diaphragm seal systems is determined by
■
the component(s) having the weakest performance data.
The temperature influences on the indication accuracy must be considered by the user.
■
5.5 Commissioning
During the commissioning process pressure surges must be avoided at all costs. Open the
shut-off valves slowly.
