and the higher stop height for thick workpie-
ces.
To change the stop height, undo the locking
screws (12) on the parallel stop (7) and take it
off the table.
Turn the parallel stop (7) through 180° so that
the end which was facing the front now faces
the rear.
Tighten the locking screws (12) again.
7.2.2 Cutting width (Fig. 10, 11)
The parallel stop (7) can be mounted on eit-
her side of the saw table (1).
Undo the two locking screws (12).
The parallel stop (7) can be set to the requi-
red dimension with the help of the scale (22)
engraved on the saw table (1).
Tighten the two locking screws (12) in order
to fix the parallel stop (7).
Measure the cutting width between the saw
blade and the parallel stop in addition to the
scale indicator. After every new adjustment,
make a trial cut in order to check the set di-
mensions.
7.3 Cross stop (Fig. 12)
The cross stop (14) has to be used when making
cross cuts in wooden workpieces.
Fasten the stop rail (23) using the screws (24)
and the knurled screws (25) on the cross stop
(14).
Slide the cross stop (14) into the slot (21) of
the saw table.
Undo the locking screw (28).
Turn the stop rail (23) until the arrow points to
the angle required.
Re-tighten the fastening screw (28).
Check the gap between the stop rail (23) and
the saw blade (4).
Warning! Do not push the stop rail (23) too
far toward the blade. The distance between
the stop rail (23) and the blade (4) should be
approx. 2 cm.
If necessary, slacken the two knurled screws
(25) and adjust the stop rail (23).
Retighten the knurled screws (25).
7.4 Setting the angle (Fig. 13)
Slacken the locking grip (8) at the front and
the locking grip (9) at the rear of the machine.
To adjust the angle of the saw blade, push the
two locking grips (8, 9) until the pointer (13)
is aligned with the desired angular setting on
the angle scale (10).
Lock the locking grips (8, 9).

8. Operation
Warning!
After every new adjustment we recommend
you to make a trial cut in order to check the
new settings.
After switching on the saw, wait for the blade
to reach its maximum speed of rotation before
commencing with the cut.
Take extra care when starting the cut!
Never use the equipment without the suction
function.
Regularly check and clean the suction chan-
nels.
8.1 Making longitudinal cuts (Fig. 14)
Longitudinal cutting (also known as slitting) is
when you use the saw to cut along the grain of
the wood.
Press one edge of the workpiece against the
parallel stop (7) while the fl at side lies on the saw
table (1).
The blade guard (2) must always be lowered over
the workpiece.
When you make a longitudinal cut, never adopt
a working position that is in line with the cutting
direction.
Set the parallel stop (7) in accordance with
the workpiece height and the desired width.
(See 7.2.)
Switch on the saw.
Place your hands (with fingers closed) flat on
the workpiece and push the workpiece along
the parallel stop (7) and into the blade (4).
Guide at the side with your left or right hand
(depending on the position of the parallel
stop) only as far as the front edge of the gu-
ard hood.
Always push the workpiece through to the
end of the splitter (5).
The offcut piece remains on the saw table
(1) until the blade (4) is back in its position of
rest.
Secure long workpieces against falling off at
the end of the cut (e.g. with a roller stand etc.)
8.1.1 Cutting narrow workpieces (Fig. 15)
Be sure to use a push stick (3) when making lon-
gitudinal cuts in workpieces smaller than 150 mm
in width. A push stick is supplied with the saw!
Replace a worn or damaged push stick immedi-
ately.
