General use
Opening the fire door
Pull the door handle towards you to open the door and push it away from you to close it. The exterior of the stove
can become very hot. We recommend using the heat resistant gloves or the operating handle.
The appliance can only be used when the fire door is closed. Once in operation, the fire door may only be opened
briefly to charge wood.
Ash door
The ash door must remain closed during operation. Otherwise air will enter the combustion chamber through the ash
door in an uncontrollable manner. The ash door may only be opened for the removal of ashes. Pay attention to the
heat and use the heat resistant gloves.
Opening the filling lid
The filling lid can simply be opened by means of the operating handle.
Converting from coal to wood
By default the appliance is configured for the burning of coal. It can be
converted to a wood stove as follows:
1. Open the filling lid and remove the hopper
2. Place the optional wood grill on top of the coal grill (occasional
wood burning) or instead of the coal grill (long term wood
burning)
3. Open the air inlets above the fire door by putting the 2 sliders in
the outside position (this air supply needs to be closed during the
burning of coal)
Controlling combustion air
Combustion air is adjusted by means of the thermostatic control at
the back of the appliance. The air supply is also adjusted with the help
of the sliders above the fire door.
