4- INSTALLATION OF THE UNIT

4.1- PLANNING THE MOUNTING SITE FOR THE UNIT

1 Mount the cassette below the ceiling,
respecting the minimum distances stated in
section 3.2 of this manual.
2 The cassette can be installed on the ceiling
or fi rst installed and then mounted onto the
ceiling.
3 Ensure that enough space is left for access to
connect or inspect the cassette.
4 Choose a mounting site that will allow
refrigerated air to reach all parts of the room
evenly. Airfl ow should not be blocked by beams,
installations or lamps.

4.2- MOUNTING OF THE UNIT

4.2.1- General recommendations

1 The casing is attached to the ceiling using 4
hanging bars. The bars should have two nuts
and washers to lock the unit into place.
2 When the cassette is lifted into place, care
should be taken not to lift the unit by pressing
on the drip tray as this could cause damage.
3 Make sure the cassette is lifted up carefully,
holding on to the four corners only. Never lift
the unit up by the condensation drainpipe or
by the pipe connections.
4 It is advisable to mount the connection pipes for
water, condensed water and the power mains
prior to proceeding to mount the cassette on
the ceiling.
Thus, the connection of the ceiling cassette to
the water circuit, the condensed water drainpipe
and the power supply can be done during or just
after the mounting. The subsequent installation
of the connection pipes with the ceiling closed
and the ceiling cassette mounted is limited to
the space available for checks.
5 Do not install the unit too close to chairs or
workstations in order to avoid unpleasant
draughts.
6 Do not locate the cassette close to heat
sources.
7 All the securing elements used, and the ceiling
itself, should be stable enough to bear the
weight of the cassette safely.
8 Respect the minimum distances recommended
in section 3.2.
5 For safety reasons, it is convenient that the unit
be mounted by two people.
6 Once the condensation drainpipes and the
pipe connections are connected, check that
the unit is levelled correctly.
7 The lower section of the cassette should be
level with and horizontal to the fi nished ceiling.
Incorrect mounting can cause unwanted airfl ow
in the cassette or the false ceiling. This would
negatively affect the operation of the cassette
and could cause condensed water to form
inside the cassette or in the ceiling area.
