8.3. Welding:

Welding is performed as follows:

Position the tube.

Position the two parts to be welded and
tack welded.

Align the surfaces to be welded and the
electrode.

Purge the system to evacuate any
oxygen in the hoses and the weld torch
(perform this step when using the
machine for the first time or when the
system has been out of use for a long
time).

Inject inert gas inside the tubes (see the
systems recommended by AXXAIR).

The starting position is "the initial position".

Select the appropriate welding program.
Note: During the welding stage, be careful not to damage the hose - and ensure that it turns smoothly
around the supports situated on turntable on the front of the machine.

8.4. Welding parameters:

The AXXAIR SAXX series has an automatic welding parameter calculation mode. When selecting the
weld head, you must use the SX122 head.... SX322.
Refer to the generator user manual.

9. Maintaining the welding machine:

Prior to each use of the machine, visually inspect the electric/water hose pack. Replace these if
necessary.

Maintenance operations should be performed by qualified personnel using authentic spare parts.

Before starting any maintenance intervention, disconnect all power supplies.

The machine and accessories should always be stored and transported in their original
packaging.

Always keep the machine clean, for optimum performance.
It is essential that all foreign bodies be removed from the machine.
It is important to check the condition of the hose that links the weld head to the welding unit, in order to
prevent water or gas leaks.

ONLY USE COOLANTS RECOMMENDED BY AXXAIR. ABOVE ALL, NEVER ADD WATER TO THE
COOLANT TANK BECAUSE THIS COULD RESULT IN CHEMICAL REACTIONS THAT COULD
DAMAGE THE MACHINE AND VOID THE WARRANTY!
