Maintenance
1.6.1 Cleaning the intake filter
1. Unscrew the intake filter. (Fig. 5a)
2. Clean the filter insert using the blow gun,
exchange the filter insert if necessary.
3. Screw the intake filter back on.
1.6.2 Checking, setting and ad-
justing the V-belt tension
Preparation/Checking V-belt tension:
See instruction manual, part 2.
Changing V-belt:
1. Mark the position of the electric motor on
the base plate between the motor and
the compressor unit.
2. Slacken the four mounting screws on the
electric motor (Fig. 7b) and slide the mo-
tor towards the compressor unit. Do not
tilt the electric motor.
3. Take off the V-belt.
4. Slide back the electric motor approx. 2
mm over the mark. Make sure that the V-
belt disc and fan wheel are aligned cor-
rectly. Tighten the mounting screws
again.
5. Fit the V-belt over the small V-belt disc
first, then stretch it over the large V-belt
disc.
6. Check the V-belt tension and repeat the
process if necessary.
7. Attach the belt guard grating again using
the mounting plugs.
Adjusting V-belt tension:
See Chapter "Changing the V-belt", work
steps 1, 2, 4, 6, 7.

Compressor inspections
An informal inspection book (collection of all
documents related to the vessel including in-
spection documents from the "approved test
centre") must be compiled for the com-
pressed air vessel on this compressor. The
vessel must be registered at an "approved
test centre" and this documentation made
available. The centre initiates and certifies
installation checks performed by authorised
experts and specifies the intervals for repeat
inspections. We recommend an inspection
interval of 5 years.
The papers accompanying the vessel are
approval documents and must be kept
throughout the service life of the vessel.
These specifications only apply in Germa-
ny. Equivalent regulations apply in other
countries.
