The chain should be connected using the XLR connections:
Place a terminator on the DMX output connector of the last device in the DMX chain. This is an XLR connector
with a 120ohm (1/4W) resistor between pin 2 and 3. You can make this yourself using a male XLR connector.
The unit is controlled by 1 channel, which sets 1 of the 8 colours or switches the lamp off:
