Listening to the radio
You can listen to a radio station either by
selecting a preset station, or by manually
tuning in the station.
Listening to FM or AM

Press FUNCTION +/
repeatedly to select "TUNER FM"
or "TUNER AM" (or press TUNER/
BAND
to select "FM" or "AM").

Press and hold TUNING +/
until the frequency indication
changes and then release.
Scanning stops automatically when
a station is tuned in and "TUNED"
lights up in the display. When a FM
stereo program is tuned in, "ST"
lights up in the display.
If "TUNED" does not appear and
the scanning does not stop, press
TUNING +/
in the station you want.

To change the AM tuning interval
The factory setting for AM tuning
interval is 9 kHz (or 10 kHz for some
areas).
Use buttons on the unit.

Press TUNER/BAND
repeatedly to select "AM. "

Press DISPLAY

While the clock is displayed, hold
down TUNER/BAND
press /
"AM 9k Step" or "AM 10k Step"
appears in the display.
When you change the interval, all the
AM preset stations are erased.
Tips
To improve broadcast reception, adjust the
supplied antennas, or connect an external
antenna.
When an FM stereo program has static
noise, press FM MODE
"MONO" lights up in the display. There will
be no stereo effect, but the reception will
improve.
