Carefully screw the compatible gazzini thread adapter into the lever assembly.
Then attach the mirror stem to the thread adapter using the tooth lock washer
and oval-head screw (size 5 hexagon key). Align the mirror roughly to your riding
position and tighten the oval-head screw without applying excessive force.
Then adjust the mirror head on the ball joint so that you have an optimal view of
following traffi c. At the same time, make sure that the mirror stem does not cover
the daytime running light – The mirror stem must be in line with the gap. Then
secure the mirror with the lock nut of the gazzini thread adapter so that it cannot
twist.

4.4 | Electrical connection

By law (in Germany), daytime running lights must come on automatically when
you switch on the ignition, and must switch off again automatically when you
switch on your low beam headlight.
If your motorcycle is already fi tted with daytime running lights, these must be
removed because a maximum of two DRLs, symmetrical to the longitudinal
centreline of the motorcycle, are permitted. In this case, the cables can be
connected to the cables of the gazzini mirror with daytime running light. The
cables (Red = Positive, Black = Earth (Ground)) of the gazzini mirror are 100 cm
long and can be shortened if necessary. It is important to ensure correct,
short-circuit-proof connection of the cables individually using special vehicle
connectors. Never use ordinary terminal blocks.
If your motorcycle does not already have DRLs, it is advisable to use a special
DRL switch (also available form Louis) which activates/switches off the DRL
according to the level of ambient light. When connecting up the gazzini mirror
with daytime running light, you must follow the instructions provided with the DRL
switch.
After connecting up, it is imperative to check that the electrical system and all
functions are working correctly before you set off.
